Can i just tell you all again how nice the guys at GT One are

For those of you who don't know, i run a Volkswagen business in Hersham, about 10 miles from GT One. This weekend we are having a VIP weekend to try to drum up some end of year business, and as Peter at GT One owns a VW he got one of our invitations.

Today i received an e-mail from one of THEIR customers who said when he went to collect his car from them, they had noticed a Golf brochure on his seat, from a competitor of mine, so they told him to get in touch with me, that we had a special event on, and he'd get a good deal.

Absolutely nothing in it for them, just bloody nice blokes. Thank you.

I guess they realise I'll never go anywhere else........

Glad to hear I'm not 'blinded by love' and that GT One are as nice as I make them out to be! Glad to hear it!

Agreed. I only got the P-car as a compromise with my wife, not to get a bike.

In fairness, she knows the way i drive, so she has a point, i would probably be dead by now if i'd bought the bike.............

That's how I feel about it too...had a few scary momments as a 17 year old on my KH250 Triple; & a few more years later when I had 750 Duke. Still miss it though...

Yeah same here, I can really see the appeal of a bike, but came very close to 'game over' in a car, so a bike would just be asking for trouble!

Well... I was thinking a Yamaha XVS 1100/ Kawasaki VN900 and then modifying it to become a bobber... however I know that doing this would end up costing the same as say a 2001 HD Fatboy with 15,000miles on the clock...

As we all know modifying is never an investment, you'll never get the money spent back.... and I've always dreamed of a Fatboy...

Thing is work has been thick and fast recently so I'm in a position to buy just about... only thing is it was Em and I's anniversary a couple of weeks ago (God flowers no matter the size of the bunch are expensive, there just pretty weeds!) so I said we'd have a weekend away when I could get time off work - next week end... trouble is it's that or the bike... that weekend would nibble into my bike fund!

Stay tuned to see how battered and bruised I look on Sunday when I tell we're not going away next weekend

Not going to be able to do Sunday now I'm afraid

Wife's decided we're going to the Royal tournament at Earls Court, early show so I cant do both

Shame, Ive put lots of the stuff thats been in my garage for months on the car

New black leather Centre console
Black leather 'straight' handbrake lever
Rennline Lower dash panel delete
Changed G pipe for Cup pipe

I'm battered and bruised after taking of the rear PU and doing the exhaust (and still have a bit of fettling to do to get everything right), but one good thing all of my bumper heat protection is at least now rivetted to the correct points instead of wafting about loose. Will hopefully have cured a few rattles from the back end
