Frank -

Just saw your old seats for sale on a different post but didn't want to go off-topic there... what did you end up going with?

Some Recaro Pole Positions with rails and brackets came up on eBay at a great price. A big saving off what it would have all cost new. Very happy When's yours going in for that 6 speed?!

Frank, just sorting some other arrangements for the weekend of the GT One open day... just wanted to confirm, the Sunday is actually the 25th rather than 24th, so do I assume GT one are expecting us on Sunday 25th?

Hi Gentlemen,

I hope this finds you all well!

It's come to that time again so here's the date for the 8th Meet. I hope to see you all there!

If you haven't already do rsvp for the GT One BBQ. It's sure to be a great day out and Craig has told me we'll be joined by some 3.2 Carrera registry cars and South West region member cars!

Should be a good collection of Posrche metal, enthusiasm and technical know how!

Cheers,

12PM THE PARROT INN

Not gonna make this one, I just put the car into surgery... she's coming out of it with a 6-speed gearbox from a 993 (with shortshifter), a single mass flywheel, a limited slip differential, RS brakes, antiroll bars and engine mounts, and some new Bilstein dampers, all of which should be worth not having the car for the next two months...

WOW sounds like a good build you got going on there! Short shifter is on my wish list... but the C4 version is too expensive!

Thanks, Frank. Yes, I think it will transform the car. The only thing left to do after that will be a rebuild someday, but it doesn't need it now and I want to save up for a 3.8 conversion...

echoing what others said about short shifter, it shouldn't be too much - there are some very expensive aftermarket ones (B&M do one that is over £350) but the Porsche one does the job for a fraction of the cost. The undertray mods may cost a bit but they shouldn't be bad. It's the first thing I've done with every 911 I've owned as it makes a big difference to the driving experience for not much cash IMO - not sure why it isn't standard on them...

Yup the only short shift for a C4 I'd seen was a £350 one from Porscheshop tbh I was putting off the research! Damn yet another wish list item!

3.8 Conversion sounds awesome. I think I'll be going down the TPC Supercharger route on a fresh engine - someday!
