Still available for anyone looking for a really well sorted 964. Since I couldn't see out of the rear window with the ideally placed third brake light....I just added a 993 rear brake light (1996-1998 style) WOW, I can see out the back window now! Thanks and Happy Holidays! Mark

Mark, mind if I ask how you handled the rear glass when you did the 993 rear brakelight? Did you replace the rear glass too? ) It looks like there is a silk-screened box around the existing 964 light... did you take that part off somehow?

Thanks...

Replaced everything with 993 parts. New rear glass, seals and light. Expensive but worth it!

Hey Jari, let me know what other pics you would like to see. There's nothing to do, totally dialed in, receipts for over $15K now, made the mistake of actually adding them all up.....shouldn't EVER do that. Thanks, Mark

I can't begin to say enough nice things about Mark or the wonderful job he did restoring what was already a pretty pristine example of a 964 when he got it.

In looking for months at a coupe or sedan for winter to go with my 987 spyder; I test drove multiple 993s both 2 and 4s, ended up trying to buy one from Barrier Porsche, who wouldn't sell the car. I did a PPI on a charming Baltic blue 964 that just had too many hills for me to climb and subsequently sold most affordably to a fellow Rennlister to go with his all blue car collection. I checked out a tight but not my color (guards red) '88 carrera 3.2, bid on 'seafoam green 75 2.7, researched the hell out of an ice green '76 912e, test drove numerous 997Ss, 4Ss, a 996 40th anniversery, M3s, 530i (PPI'd that too- thank god that failed!), 3 series....

Anyway, by the time I saw Mark's ad, I knew from all my previous missteps what I really wanted and I was saying to myself staring at the ad, there it is, that's the perfect car, all done over just how I would have done it and I want it, no matter where in the country it is.... The avatar location was blank so I skimmed back over the ad remembering a phone #, eyes hunting for an area code, would it be anywhere I knew... (206)...that sounds familiar...(206!!!) that's MY area code! Lightning flashed in my brain and from that moment on somehow, I knew it was meant to be.

I'll post some photos over the weekend and finish out the story of a very, VERY nice car and a very nice buying experience.

Happy New Year's everyone!!

P.S. For anyone who's wondering from my earlier posts about it a month or so ago, my Ridgeback Judah, had successful cancer surgery, with clear margins and subsequent clean ultrasounds. That far and away has been my best news of 2010 and to everyone who sent along their best wishes, I profoundly thank you. Cheers!

I am thrilled to hear of your good news regarding Judah! I didn't realize he is a Ridgeback... we fostered a Ridgeback for a time last year, before we found him a really good home. They a really great dogs!

Oh, and your new car is pretty cool, too...
