Sorry not been updating as often, due to the fact a lot of boring stuff need sorting out such as all the black detailing - metal trims, door handles, door frames, etc.

Heres some pictures of some that have been restored and painted to a high standard. As a 20 year old car will have had some sort of marks, scratches and in this case storage scrapes.

Most important are the door frames, especially rot where the top door frame meets the quarter light verticlal glass frame.

Not forgetting the door handles. Excuse the used handle seals we put back for the photo, which will be all replaced.

Talking about seals, trims and rubbers. To replace every single rubber, seals, trims on a 964 may not cost much individually, but when you add them all up. It mounts up!!! & a gathering of one BIG BOX!

One big step for me and Project Amazon, finally she starting to look like a car with the rear bumpers going on. I know its only a bumper, but finally all the exterior plastics are finally coming out to be fitted.

Sorry if am getting carried away with taking photos of just the reear, but anyway photos do the talking.

The brackets are all new and were prone to rot. They were poorly made with rubbish hollow metal tubing. I think no matter if these are powdercoated for extra protection, they are still prone to rust.

All in the detail I say, new seals will finish off a restoration.

I know I have forgot to put the rubber trims that go on the edge of the side lights, just spotted them missing! Note, remember around the top of the rear side lights was a rubber seal that ran straight across the top. I was told today by Dave that this causes blocked moisture from the heat inside the plastic lights causing condensation, and the vents if you can see closely are designed for vents not blocked by the rubber seal.

Am I waffling?

I know on the lower part of the bumper section and running through to the side sills, the lower 1/3 of the bumper has a split where the carreras and the RSs have a black section. Having had my white car done the same way, it looks cleaner and lower. I know its left black because it acts as a stone guard, but from lesson I have learnt to leave the lower front splitter on front black and the sides sills and rear should be fine.

Is that a dirty oil stain on bumper?ha
