And definately couldn't use half the junk that was taken out! You would be surprised how much stuff comes out of one car, having filled 2 van loads.

Question, is it true that the later 964 cars have only one washer bottle rather than the 2? normally one situated under the drivers front wing and a small bottle in the front of the trunk. The later cars retained the larger tank in the arch but done away with the small bottle in tne trunk.

What about the RS? did they just have the small bottle in trunk and not the large bottle under the wing?

sorry to dig up some dirty pics!

thanks

Norm

Fuch! if your thinking of a colour change, think again. Its a love affair!

When you start stripping the car and your putting aside all the rusty, perished, worn parts, then the engine out, etc. The question is do you want to build the car back with a rusty bolt for example? now thats the cheapest part alone!

Then it becomes an engine rebuild whilst the block is out, then the pipeworks, brackets, , mounts, bushes, exhaust, suspension, refurb. wishbones, brakes, interior, seals, lights, glass, badges, wheels and loads of misc. things. The list goes on!

Then you think back, I only want a colour change!?

You hate me, so does the misses! but you know its worth it!

I was told by an oldboy who worked in Porsche since a young man that the runout UK models didn't have the small bottles?!?

The oldboy could be right as my old '93 Jubi didn't have the small bottle.

Great colour choice btw, progress looks swift. Yours will probably be finished before the mechanical work on mine gets started.

I was puzzled when I found my '93 turbo had a washer bottle missing in the trunk, and the oldboy said that was normal.

Thanks Talat, maritime is love, still think now should I have chosen Mint or Viper Green still thinking now! Been keeping tabs with yours, will be nice when you finish with it;-)

LOL, I'm the same. Signal Green looks great but I always wonder if Speed Yellow would have suited the car better.

The small bottle was stock for some markets, but most often an extra option. My car sold in germany MY1992 didn't have it. But now it has of course, and the big one is gone. As said, RS and Cups only had the small one.

Loose it.

You'll never want to take it out and get it dirty anyway after all that work!

It used to be a C2 but now it's a kind of Cup-replica but I still have a lightweight carpet and the roof lining so I can drive it to the track meetings. But it has a lot of mods....weighs 1200 kg without driver.
