Ive decided the new wheels will go on new 964 project, but things such as colour, the kind of mods just keep on changing from week to week.

66 huh! cool, but some serious hours and resto needed on these oldies! I just love the stuff that comes out from '1 on 1' or 'Trailer queen restos'.

Hey Si, keep up with the 964, will talk to you soon and ask for your help!

Catch u later

Sounds good, I didn't realise you had another one, what are your plans etc. any photos?

nice one

Where do we get the red light film from Si?

and did you put new membranes on the doors before fitting the RS panels?

Keep up the good work

Hi, got the rear light film from Gus on here, there's a thread all about it somewhere. The original membrane was intact, so was re-useable, I should've included a photo of this I know.

Plenty more progress to come. I'm lovin' your car!

Great stuff, your car is looking great.

I tried Gus' tint kit - looked fantastic! However, I removed it, as even with amber bulbs, the indicators showed red and I didn't want to risk anyone driving into the back of me, claiming they didn't see my signal. Also I think it would cause issues at a UK MOT and the fuzz!

I then tried painting them with tint paint, but wasn't 100% happy with the end result - probably down to me, as I know some Rennlist'ers have had great results. Sadly, I will now probably be parting with the £600+ for new lights!!

Good to hear that your membrane was OK and since your pic shows a bare door it must be possible to peel it off and re-apply it. One of the POs of mine clearly didn't know that as it was trashed and taped all over the place! I first tried some membranes that regularly come up on ebay....they were pants! So, recently bought some OE ones from Porsche..well worth the extra.

You're doing a great job...looking forward to the seat pics that we've seen a peep of

Don't want to be nitpicking but that's not a G pipe it's a J pipe or swan neck pipe. I'm curious to where you got it and the price you paid as i understand that the sound is a little less aggresive than the G.

Have a look at this:

http://www.porsche.com/filestore.asp...ault&version=1

I run 7x17 in the front and 9x17 in the rear and the Michelin PS2's are rated to be the best for this combination by Stuttgart.

In performance oriented magazines like Sport Auto (Germany) the PS2's are still one of the quickest tires in the dry, only surpassed by Pirelli PZero. In the wet they're more of a top 5 runner. The Conti's run somewhat less stiff sidewalls, which gives them very good performance in the wet but lacking some precision in the dry.

Having said so the Conti's are a great tire, especially when compared to tire technology in the early 90's when our cars originally hit the streets.
