Crap in intake manifold
As you can see on the picture, not only is there a lot of oil residue, but also pieces of plastic is coming of in the bottom of the intake manifolds.
I will try and remove it before it falls of by itself, hopefully I will be able to vacum the pieces up.
Any others seen this?

I can't quite make out what's in the pic, but I had the seals intruding into the intake manifold on mine. I removed the intakes and changed out the seals. When I got it all apart I could see that the seals looked as if they had been squeezed too hard and pressed out of the joint. I many even still have the old ones, but I'm in the midst of packing the house for a move so I can not put my hands on them . . . I found some pics on my website. Look for Intake_Manifold_Right_8.jpg about half way down this page: http://efinnegan.com/Porsche/Pics/En...ing/index.html

It's simply the intake manifold/injector stubs which are showing their age and have degraded with the heat from the cylinder heads; the seals are located in a groove which has a very narrow lip, it looks like either the retaining lip has failed or more likely the seals arebreaking up under the lip. I suggest that you remove the stubs and the seals and replace them all with new ones.

Thanks Colin
Mine is a 91, so the seals should be part number: 964 110 713 00
Those are not so easy to find.
From 92 they are called: 993 110 713 01
Will these fit or?

Luckily only the seals seems to be damaged. But they are also in a very poor shape.
I have ordered new ones, can't be healthy to get chunks of plastic into the intake valves.
