Well I have been doing this and that with the machine and now need some advice on break pads and tires.
I live in Washington State thus have wet driving conditions a good portion of the year.
This is my daily driver (hell my only vehicle), so am interested in the other owners out there opinions on what type of pads and tires would be good up here. Moderate in price.
Thanks for any info you may have. -D²

For Brake pads I would go with OEM. As far as tires, I just bought a set of Continental Extreme Contact DW and like them very much, but for all weather including snow I can suggest the Continental extreme Contact DWS; DWS stands for Dry/Wet/Snow. Check TireRack for prices (no affiliation) that's where I got mine.

tbennett017- Looks like we are neighbors, I live across the river in Vancouver. Thanks for the input on tires.
crg53- So the OEM pads should be fine then? How bad is the break dust off them? I had thought of ceramics but perhaps they won't stop as well up here.
Thanks much on the info guys!. Gives me something to research. -D²

For a daily driver I would also recommended OEM pads - I have Pagid at the rear and they squeak a lot, OEM at the front and they are silent.
Regarding tires, since you drive it every day, look for some Hankook V12 Evo, Sumitomos or Dunlop Direzza D101 (japanese or corean brands)
I would shy away from expensive tires since they fail or break just as much as cheap ones and it is just not worth it (except if you track your car and you are competing at the highest level)

I second the OEM pad recommendation for the street. I have them on my RSA and turbo and they work on and off the track.

I don't know if you're into sourcing a separate set of rims for the winter, but I can help you out with some if you're looking. D90s pop up all the time, and I like how I can make a swap whenever I want to, without having to re-mount tires on good rims... etc.

I was considering this also. I have D90's and actually like them and have seen a few sets out there for sell. Sooo I probably will look into getting a different set of rims for the winter.
On another note how is the local P-Club, have been considering joining. -D²
