Default For Sale: 1991 964 Cab, 53K miles

Price lowered! $19,000.00

The car is in excellent condition.. It runs perfectly, turn key and ready to go. Clean CARFAX, clear title. It has been a California car it's whole life (zero rust) and a garage queen since I've owned it. Only 53,500 miles!, Tiptronic transmission, black leather interior, black canvas top (no tears or cuts, new window in 03/2010), major tune-up March 2010 (Valve adjustment, Oil Change, New Plugs, New Timing Chain Gaskets, New Oil Pressure Sender o-rings, o-rings replaced in steering pump, new front and rear brake pads).

I have owned this car for the last 7 1/2 years. I hate to see it go, but I'm buying and house and the toys must go

wow the prices have dropped on these. My '92 is a manual with more miles and if you're only asking ~$21k, you might only get ~$20k. Means mine is worth almost $8k less than what I paid 5 yrs ago. So much for them holding value like they did before.

Hawk, I think he is asking to low of a $$$. Probably a high 20k car for a manual and a few grand less for the tip.

I think he should be asking at least 25-26k for a low mileage car with tip. The right buyer will come and grab it.

given miles, I'd have thought a few grand more than $21k, and like you said a minus of $1k for tip. I'm not so sure high $20s... given the market over the past 2 yrs.

Very nice car. His price would be only be a grand low around here, if that. Tips take a $3-4K thump in this area. And even then, they don't move fast. But for the the buyer looking for one, this would be a great one, I'd say.

Thanks for the compliments and I agree, it is priced below fair market value, but we put an offer on a house, and things need to be liquidated. It is priced to sell, and for someone looking for this car, they will get themselves a good deal. I'm just trying to make it quick and painless for both parties. It's just the way I operate. I bought it on the spot, and I sell my things for fair prices.

BTW- As far as the Tip, I looked for 8 months to find a triple black cab with low miles, and finally decided, enough was enough, and "settled" with the tip. That being said, this car has plenty of spunk in manual mode to get me (or anyone else) in trouble, plus, as a cab, it'll never be a track car, so not having manual hasn't been an issue. Plus, have you noticed how many cars are tip or steptronic these days?

i had same experience (92 amer roadster, 68k mi. manual trans) lots of calls, mails from as far away as denmark/italy, but only 1 firm offer which i passed on.
we did a 2 day 1200km trip thru the mountains 2 wks back, was great - and now we are inclined to keep it/take it when we move offshore in january.

most of the interest was from the usa, but these was zero follow up so i assume importing a car from canada to the states is difficult.

wish you best of luck on the sale, but its a tough market....and people know these cars are really pricey to keep up (unless skilled diy types)
