I'm not sure what you are calling the "Triangle", but you do not need to remove anything.

This...... the road reflector, I believe it is a triangle?, haven't had it out in years. Everyone else has one of these too, right?

I have the rennline brace, maybe an older model because the mounting brackets look a little different. Anyway I cut my carpet to poke the mounts through. It could fit underneath too but I like how it looks exposed... but thats just me...
