Default bleeding brakes. How do I remove the inner debirs screen?

Trying to pull out the inner white screen tub without braking it. I see a notch on it and a notch on the outer surface, but it will not slide up or unscrew!

Anyone????

Are you referring to the brake fluid reservoir? There is no need to remove the inner portion of the brake reservoir - just screw your power bleeder on and clamp the overflow hose.

Hi Marc. thanks. I've been reading here its better to remove the old fluid with a syringe on the brake reservoir so I don't push old fluid thru. Problem is that white screen tube will not allow my hose to go to the bottom of the reservoir......

Whenever I have taken mine out, I kind of fold it in on itself a little bit to get it out. It's a bit scratched up, but I never worried about it.

Ahh...I just use a turkey baster to suck as much of the old out as possible.

Hi Marc, yeah, I used a syringe, but that inner debris screen only goes to about 1/2 of the reservoir and can't get to the lower half without removing it..... Well, I just hooked up the Motive and went to town. Problem is I've gone thru 3/4 full Motive and still have spongy brake......
