Default Relays

How hot do the relays get under normal conditions. My DME and the two metal cased relays were MUCH hotter then the rest. So is this normal or are they on their way out?

The DME relay is energised all the time the ignition is on so you would expect it to get pretty hot. The same would hold true for ANY relay held energised for any lengthy time. It's one of the reasons why the DME relay, particularly, is renown for failure. It's not so much a symptom of failure, more a reason for it.

Dave
