Ride Height Measurement Before Bilstein HD + Red Instal
I am starting on replacing the stock struts with HD+Reds on a 93 C2. If you look at the pictures in the attached thread, I took the ride height measurements at the middle bolt (front arm) and spring plate (not very well visiable) where it attaches to the outer arms (rear). The measurements are about 157 mm F and 167 mm R. The fender to the floor is about 66.5 mm R and 67 mm F (I know it seems funky). The level set at the seal with the door open shows the car is level.
I am assuming that the age has taken some toll on the springs, so I hope that I can drop the car by 25mm (1") and be about RS + 15/20 mm (140/145mm). Does this seem reasonable?
I will have pictures as I go along and will post when done.

After you changed to new struts and springs, you WILL need an alignment, so set the ride height to RS + 10m/m, or whatever you prefer, measured at the FACTORY points, then take it to your shop of choice for an alignment/corner balance.

Ride height adjustment (Corne balance if) and alignment are scheduled for next week. I took measurements from various spots, but I expected my measurements from underneath to be in the ball park of the factory ride height which I think is 175 mm F and 268 mm R. I plan to approximate ride height at RS +15/20 after install and let the shop fine tune them.
