Looks great, Jim. Are you going to get it 'stone guarded', to protect all that lovely new paint? I wish I had done it with mine - 3 years and endless stone chips later. I know after such a big bill it can be hard to contemplate the extras, but worth thinking about.
I have been thinking about getting bits of it protected such as the front bumper, sills and sharks fins.
I have fitted the "mud flaps" that the 3.6 Turbos have to give the sills a bit of protection but some clear film certainly wouldn't hurt. On one of the other forums I read a guy recently had his Gallardo vinyl wrapped by a company in Leeds so I was thinking of seeking them out and getting a quote. I would prefer to have the parts wrapped properly than simply buying the clear stone guards you can get for the sharks fins as they tend to stand out quite a lot.
Just ordered some new clear front indicators and side repeaters as the current ones have started to look a little 'yellowed' around the edges. I did have a look before to see if you could take them apart and clean them up but I reckon you'd break them if you tried.

I need to do the same, let me know which one you go with. I don't want to order the same units just to have them turn out the same in a couple of years...
I ordered both sets from design911 (no affliliation etc) which is where I got the front indicator set for my C2 when I first got that. After 5 years they were still fine so hopefully this set will be much the same.
I have gone for a different set of side repeaters this time though. Instead of the normal clear repeaters that are currently on the car I have gone for a set of these ones which they describe as crystals which I am hoping will look a bit better. I'll post some close up pics once I get them on the car so you can see what you think.
I went back to look at the photos again... man! that looks great!
I can't stop smiling, am thrilled with the way it has turned out. Will definately get some much better shots of it once I get it cleaned up at the weekend. We are meant to get a break in the weather on Saturday so hopefully I can have an enjoyable day of working on the car followed by an evening of drinking beers whilst England beat the US in the world cup
Fitted the new clear front indicators and side repeaters yesterday and the difference is even greater than I thought it would be. The front indicator kit turned out to be a Dansk set so I am hoping they might be a bit better quality than the ones I removed which don't appear to have any makers marks on them anywhere that I could see.
One of the other things I did yesterday was give the interior a good going over as there was dust from the bodyshop in the nooks and crannys such as the air vents and you can see in the pic below by the steering column but I also removed the faded ignition surround and sprayed it with some matt black interior plastic dye. Cheap as chips fix and well worth it! Shame about the peeling gauges though
