It looks awesome I have more pics but rather than post them I thought I would wait for it to be finished off and then show the final results.

The body shop are putting together a CD of photos from throughout the process so once I get that I will post a load more but in the meantime I'll bow to pressure and post a few more. I had hoped the car would be back this week and I had today's trackday at Oulton Park in my diary to come and spectate so you could have seen it in person Steve but maybe next time.

Sorry to hear about the problems you have discovered, but at least you were prepared for it and now you will have a WB that you know has been done right; well worth the effort and money. Looking forward to seeing the end result. Who are you using for all the work?

The work is all being done by Grangemoor Coachworks near Wakefield. I have been very happy with what they have done so far as it far exceeds my expectations. When I went there to get an initial quote I went through everything that I wanted done and they had a good look over the car and were reluctant to give a firm figure due to not knowing the state of things until they started getting into it. He was very clear in the fact that he would not simply give the car a blow over because it was his reputation on the line if paint started cracking up due to the poor bodywork underneath. That was exactly what I wanted to hear and so he got the job.

I'd be interested in the final cost once it's all done - if you're willing to let us know - as I'm sorely tempted to get my Turbo done sometime in the near future.

To be honest I have no idea what the cost would be if it was just a glass out respray due to the amount of additional work required to sort out the turbo arch extensions but total cost is up to £10k. That includes £3k of parts, most of which would not be necessary for you as you wouldn't be forking out for a new rear wing, sills, sharks fins, and wheel arch liners so if it was just new seals and various fixings around the car you can limit your parts bill to £500 or so.

Well after 8 long weeks I finally got to pick the car up today and I am very happy with the results. The paintwork is absolutely stunning and is unfortunatly let down by the lights and lenses which I will be replacing as soon as I recover from the bill for this. It does need a good clean, the engine bay is covered in dust from sanding and the same is true all around the edges of the interior where they have missed bits when cleaning it up, though it was never going to be to the same standard as I would have done it so I have no complaints.

The weather here has been awful all day and so by the time I got the car home it was filthy so I will wait until the weekend to take some proper pictures but for the moment here's a couple.

^^^ Very nice...congrats! Nothing as beautiful as a black car when the paint is fresh or well cared for. It's the upkeep that kills...
