One of the Turbo guys has the AP headlights fitted but I can't remember his username offhand. Do a quick search of the 964 and 964 Turbo forums and you should find it as it was within the last few months.

The Xenons on my BMW and Saab don't change intensity either- they simply change the range of illumination upward for the high beams. The one bulb makes sense.

one bulb and non-adjusting means no high beams.
by the looks of those they are a single adjusting xenon H4 bulb with a an H4 housing and a clear lens.
we need someone to adapt a proper design (true desinged Xenon) to the 964 ala ~

otherwise its just a rig job IMHO...

Wuthout leveling, means that you don t have the ability to aim the headlight to compensate the movement of the car's body after you put luggage etc. It s a feature only for european cars. It has 2 beams on a single bulb. The bulb moves a little bit forward. I have installed hid xenons on normal h4 headlights and it s a big pain in the a**. I get "friendly" flashes from the other drivers. And the high beam is not lighting in the place that it should. For me h4 with classic lights is still the best solution. may be a headlight with magnifier, like 993 has, it will be a good, proper upgrade.
Hope that helps!

Hi Technomania,
Are the incline/oval headlight reflectors standard on a cabby, or are they aftermarket? (the insides of the headlight unit).
Mine, and others, seem to stand up vertical and leave space between the reflector and the glass on the bottom side (like in the AP car design pics).
Kind regard
Edit: think i found the difference myself. Looking at pictures of headlight units on Ebay, if you try to look inside a headlight through the glass the H5 reflector seems to be different (oval, it fills the headlight completely) to the one in a H4 headlight (vertical, leaves blank space in the bottom of the headlight).
So it seems I need the reflector of a H5 headlight unit to imitate your look. Can anyone confirm?

For some reason I don't think it looks "right" on these cars...
I'm tempted since it is the only thing I miss on the car right now... but can't get over the way it looks.
