new to the neighborhood, sort of..
hello all,
last august i purchased a stock 1990 964 c2 w/ 85k. -amazing automobile. after the inaugural drive through n. ga. i decided to take it in for a post purchase inspection. my mechanic discovered several seized head studs and various minor issues that he thought wise to address. so, 6 weeks later with a fresh top end rebuild, i was free to break it in. kept it under 4k for a thousand miles, brought it in for a valve adjustment and was given the green light. the 964 at 6k rpm is a beautiful thing. this car is so much fun! needless to say i got the fever and have since upgraded the rotors, shocks, and springs, and lowered the ride height to the proper specs. the only other modification that i have planned is the exhaust system. my mechanic suggested b&b... anyway, this forum has been a great resource and i look forward to contributing to the dialogue.

Welcome..!!
Nice looking C2... cannot beat black for a 911/964..
Now you get to agonize for months over wheels and tires to really get the look of the car just right...take your time..
stick with Porsche original wheels..
What you have now are called Design 90 factory alloys
I really like my 16" Cup 1 wheels with Yokohama tires
Good Luck.........

Love the high-aspect "meaty" tires.

thanks guys, as you can see from the pix it's no concourse winner. i started pulling out the soundproofing when i discovered a little water in the rt. side floorboard. rear seats, carpet/deck came next, along w/ the window tint and rear wiper. my intentions now are to lighten it up by removing most non essentials aside from heat/a.c. the stereo i rarely use, so it may be next. someone quoted in this forum that the throttle pedal was the volume ****. -thought that was funny! it's a solid car, never wrecked. as far as the wheels go, i've always liked the d90's but a set of 17" d92's i think that's what they're called, the flat chunky 5 spoke wheels on a 3.3 turbo or rs? .,would be great fun...
-no pictures, gotta figure this out.

The flat chunky 5 spokes might be Speedlines, those are always a crowd favorite (not my cars):
The REALLY flat 5s are the RUFs, also a favorite.
