Very wise words. I did a 'back of an envelope' calculation recently and worked out that if I hadn't bought mine 3 years ago, hadn't spent what I have on it in that time and wasn't having my engine rebuilt at the moment, I could be running round looking at Mk1 GT3s now. However, I'm happy to say I have no regrets...especially when I get to drive the 964

WOWZA! That is spectacular! Well done and worth every penny!
One quick question - did you ever consider the "supple leather" option? I have this option in my car and it has a dramatically different (and to my tush, better) feel than the standard leather that's in my S2.
Although - I can barely imagine the price tag for THAT option (even if it is only on the seating surfaces).

Simon: Southbound had made similar door cards before. Infact, I saw them on a 964 pictured on the web ( Baltic Blue/Blue ), asked David about them and it turned out they were his work. Had to have them and not much more expense; though Dan, the chap that did the work, said they are a PITA to do. The seat base/back leather had to go off to germany to have the correct hole pattern drilled, same as the 3.2 you had done.
911Jetta: many thanks for the link to the Wevo handles, but they are not my thing. I don't mind modifying the interior, but if it wasn't a period option or looks like it could have been done by Porsche, I am not keen. We all know how we want things to be just so, and that can be different for all of us.
Rally Guy: Is supple leather the fluted/pleated style? Can't think of the word to describe it. Again, a personal preference for me; just not keen. I did consider cloth inserts at one point, for the non-slip nature, but thought sticking ( bad pun ) with leather would be best long term.

Adam,
The car looks great. I agree that Dave Nunn is extremely good at what he does - and the evidence is in the finished article. Congratulations on a great choice of colour.
Regards
Dave

Thanks for the sympathy. It is what I need. I sympathised with the remainders of a bottle of Vouvray last night and cracking open a bottle of Rioja. My Mrs. helped with the wine, so I didn't get too melancholy

Yes Ant, new everything, except for most of the sound deadening, though replacing some now due to the rear foot-well leak. Even had a new dash top which was Magenta vinyl until covered in the new leather.
Vandit, porno to me and you and many others, but I am aware that red is a love/hate thing. To me it is classic German racing cars, especially with silver bodywork. I also have a thing for other less popular colours, though it all depends on the exterior colour. Saw a really nice Midnight Blue Turbo with Nephrite (sic) Green interior once; loved that. Also like all those mad 80s/90s Porsche cloth trims; Pasha/Checks etc. , and RUF hounds-tooth is good.
