A nice modification.
One day I hope to end my 964 in a state similar...
Thanks!

Hey guys, thanks again for the warm welcome and for all the nice comments

Due to the grim weather here recently it's not been out much. But spring isn't far away and then the trackday season will be here. Can't wait to see how it performs. Bit scared too

Wow. I need to get a turbo...someday (in the mean time I'll have to make do with my current jalopy )
Life's not too bad if you've got an E30 M3 in the garage too mate Any pics?

Just had to sell my 325 sport as it's too much hassle getting the baby in and out Once he can do his own belts up, I'll be on the hunt for an M3. That's if the prices haven't gone even more crazy by then....

Missing it already and it's only been gone 48 hrs.....

WOW, a lot of amazing cars have been showing up here recently!

Welcome Benny. RL just keeps getting better and better. Love live the 964!

Are those model cars on the shelves of your "man-room"?

You know how it is, shleppin around in a narrowbody 964 and a e30 M3 is tough livin The only pics I've got of the M3 are ones from the engine swap I'm working on right now (S50B32 - european 3.2l e36 M3 evo motor). 321hp (coupled with the getrag 6-speed and 3.46 LSD) in a 2700lb car should be good fun when shes done!

These pics are from early December, and were take with my crappy blackberry camera...its actually back down off the lift now and all done except for the wiring The time I have to spend on going through BMW ETMs is lacking!

I'd still probably trade both for a 3.3 turbo...alas, I'm so upside down on the M3 (considering the price of the engine swap) that I'd be nuts not to finish and enjoy for a loooooong time to come!

P.S. BEAUTIFUL 325is! I've had a few myself including a nice '91 M-Tech cab I sold about a year ago. DOH!

+1 definetly ....... your turbo looks awesome Benny.c. What a combo with the 325i, that too looks a pristine motor, shame it had to go.

Last year changed my daily drive to an E46, chuffed to bits with it.

With you been in the North West, hopefully might see on one of John Boggiano's North Wales runs, perhaps in March, if not then, perhaps at Outon Park! with you be a track enthusiast.

anyway fantastic Turbo (why don't Porsche still make then like that!!) and welcome to the forum.

That should go well for an old E30 Did anything happen to the old motor or did you just fancy a bit more pace? Don't know about the US but E30 M3 motors go for big money over here.

If you are a Bimmer fan, you may be interested in my other track toy, that I co-own with a friend. Not as nice as your E30, but good fun. It was originally an E36 325 SE which we stripped, caged and fitted nice race bits to; KW two way race suspension, AP brakes etc. It's currently awaiting an engine swap too. Couldn't justify the cost of an M3 conversion but found a nice Alpina B6 2.8 motor to drop in for not much money. It's a straight swap as the Alpina lump is based on the 2.5L that was originally in the car. 240bhp and 2500lbs so should be pretty rapid

Cheers mate. The turbo needs tidying on the inside having been a track car for many years. But I kind of like it's functional look.

Definitely going to try to do the March North Wales run. If you are up at Oulton, I'm usually there at least five times a year doing trackdays. If it's dry, I'll be in the Porsche. If it's even slightly damp forget it, I'll have chickened out and be in the BMW

Without turning this in to a BMW love in, I'm a fan of the E46 too. Not to long ago I had a 330i Sport touring. Imola Red too, which IMHO is one of the best colours BMW do. It was a cracking car and I only sold it to buy the E30. Bit stupid really as I should have guessed the E30 would be awkward for the baby.
