Neat, I always love his stuff.

I would definitely take issue if that is as high as it goes, I like to be able to stand upright under the car if I had to be picky, but nonetheless a very useful system for many.

I hear Conan's lift comes with a masturbating bear, anyone seen that? Or will that be property of NBC after the Olympics?

It has a hydraulic pump...not an air compressor as Jay repeatedly stated. He must have his mind on the whole Conan thing, or the tatted up girl, or both.

Nice rack.
I mean, it looks very substantial with a lot of lift.
I mean, it would raise pretty much anything up and keep it there while you're working.

I mean, my Porsche, is of course what I mean.

I don't like the idea of using it as a portable lift. If you were going to install/uninstall a few times per year.
I would question how well the concrete anchors would hold up to multiple impact tightening. I would also suggest that anyone installing any lift in concrete, make sure that they have the correct concrete depth where the anchors are set. No price available on line, but I bet it is as much as the $1600.00 that you can get an Eagle (no affiliation) 9,000 lb. asymmetric lift for.

I have it and it works great! Much better, imho, than the mid-rise I had. I get to have all the underside of the car open for working there.

I was surprised to see them using an impact drill to do the bolts. My guess is that they did that in the benefit of time. The instructions calls out NOT using an impact drill...

I also used a special concrete anchor epoxy as an additional safety measure.

Like I said, love it! and great to be able to get it out of the way and against the wall to claim all my garage space back. Now, if I could get around to finish cleaning up and organizing the @#%$ garage... this year, this year...

This:

Versus this:

For folks like me that do not have the ceiling height for a normal two-post lift, this option is great.

Got that right!

This one, on the other hand lust away!

Griots Garage:

By the way, everything that I have done in my garage was done on a cheap budget. The tiles are porcelain tiles from Home Depot that I got at .78. Inexpensive white cabinets, white panels to make the hanging/sliding doors to cover the shelves, and some additional lights... that is it. Sure looks nicer when it is a bit more organized...
