Default RSA 59.9k or 43k you choose

Interesting how in this day and age of the internet you can find the same car for sale under two different sources and see a $17k mark up from one source.
Here we have that uber rare 1994 RSA for a buy it now price of $59.9 k and with some slick marketing about how great the company is when I inquired about the car. They ignored the part of my inquiry which asked of it was the same car for sale at 43K.

Here we have what looks like a nice 1994 RSA with some track modes offered for sale on RSA.net and at this site for $43k

Gee I wonder which is the better buy?

Almost too expensive at 43K so imagine what I think of 59K......

The matter rollbar is nice but IMHO other manufacturer make better stuff so for me, no plus value. BTW you can't wear the sub belt over the seat like pictured.

This is a scam artist, claiming that this 964 is one out of 84 built in 1994. The VIN sticker says it's built in August 93. Porsche did not build any 964's in 1994 (maybe with the exception of the slant nose 965 Turbo S). The 993 production started fall 1993, even if some late production 964's were sold as '94 models in the US.

The price is also way over the top. Even if the RS America is a very nice and rather rare car, it's not a true RS. Sadly, the Carrera RS (964 and 993) was never imported to the US. The RS America was a stripped out and $10,000 cheaper version of the Carrera, an attempt from Porsche to boost declining sales of the 964. When the 993 came on sale in the US in February '94, it was $5,000 cheaper than the 964 Carrera it replaced.

Not true. 964's were sold as 94's. There 80 or 1994 RSA's too. They all had back seats in them as well. 94's were the only year of the C4 wide body, The Speedster and the ultimate Turbo 3.6.

C2's were made too.

Most 94's are late production 93's. This is because the 993 was not availble in the US as quickly as it was availble in Europe. So Porshe had to do something to offer a 1994 911 model in the US.

Kev J is correct, they did sell VIN numbered 1994 RSA's and they all had rear seats. They also sold 1994 Speedsters, and 1994 C4's with the wide body in addition to the C2 line up of coupe cab, and targa. Yes there were few in numbers because the 993 was already on sale in Europe but they are out there.

I reached out to the owner and cut Specialty out of the loop.

I ran across this one while looking at a car that a guy was asking about on a different (non-Porsche) car forum. No affiliation and I have no idea if it's salvage, a bastard, or the real deal, (or has been posted before here)
but here ya go:

also a more modified example:

I commented on this a few weeks ago; I think it was Tim Gallen's old car. If so, it was one of the most poorly sorted, though "high dollar" cars I'd ever tested. Was even on its side at the '95 Sears club race coming out of 8A!
