Default remove alarm control unit - help please

In process of removing carpetting as per new PCA Club Racing rules. Looking at the alarm control unit, and would like to remove it. Anyone know if this would cause any problems.

I think you will have to do some sort of jumper to keep your fuel pump running. A couple years ago I spent a lot of hours getting familiar with the alarm system. Get your hands on a wiring diagram and you'll see that even though it's an extensive system, it's really just a simple system of switches.

The alarm unit can be removed, but you need to connect 2 pins of the alarm unit connector to allow power to the DME relay switching circuit (pin 85/86). Nothing other than that is required to remove the alarm control unit.

Are the power locks independent of the alarm system?
