I'm off to another project; meaning a pure dedicated track car, as my primary Porsche fun is on track and I'd rather not spoil the now near perfect 964 and don't want to split efforts bet. both, so the 964 gos.
Incoming intent is sort of ~ D Prod 924S, with an entire laundry list of improvements over what Doc Bundy and Holbert were racing when they'd run the early 924 in SCCA, as attached here.
Car currently has the exact same D Prod body mods beautifully done, cage in, interior stripped, seats/harnesses done, Koni sports in, 3 sets of wheels/race tires. As (1987) 924S, that gets the full 944 drivetrain. Need 350lb fonts over existing Koni's and matched 29 mm rear bars. Wilwood 4 piston fronts, a good quality 4>2>1 header dumping to a SpeedForce exhaust and a number of other ancillaries. Currently at just over 2200 lbs. I've driven the car in current form on track for an entire day, and it is an absolute blast and much less worrisome than current car. It's unbelievable how much farther into a braking zone I can go prior to full binders.
As I've got massive built up comfort zone with 944 mechanicals, this thing plays to my strength.

Hawk - best pal's shop simply painted the rear reflector panel after knocking down the surface and carefully prepping. That piece came out looking just as good as the surrounding body panels, meaning perfect, no worries.

Amazing! Any chance you have the stock seats? I'm 6'5" and 300+lbs...there's no way I'd fit in those. Love the houndstooth though...

Yes I have OE black leather seats, partial power models, in excellent unmarked condition. Just don't ask me to cross the MI/ONT border as my bloody passport has expired !
