Three Wheelin'
Realized I never added mine to this thread. Picked it up about 2 months ago – 91 targa with about 71k miles. Came with the e88s and the original D90s.

My first 964 Targa was GP white and I loved it. I really regretted selling it to buy s different 911. I got very lucky on the replacement 964 Targa I bought as a project car. I like what you're doing on your build thread.

Interesting targa on Pcar. I saw this car a number of years back when the owner just acquired it. At the time it looked new and was very well cared for but then he told me it had been completely restored and had high miles. Looks like a good candidate for someone. I am not a fan of the wheel sizes but it appears he had kept the car in top condition. I have not seen it since 2018 or so so I always recommend a PPI.

Seems the Targa thread has been quiet for awhile so I thought I'd wake it up. I've heard rumors that 964 Targas can fetch coupe prices these days. Well - that's great but looking at my Targa title I realized that Illinois doesn't have a "targa" body designation so my car is titled as a convertible. This could be a problem since - while Targas may or may not bring more than coupes - the Targa is certainly bringing more than the 964 Cab. I think I need to upgrade my insurance.

Here is a very interesting C2 90' Targa i just sold (for the 2nd time in 6 years) . Steel wide body fenders, and 3.8 Patrick Motorsports engine rebuild along with 993 Turbo Front Brakes, Wavetrack diff and many other mods. I first bought and sold this car back in 2017 and just rebought from the 17' buyer, sorted a couple of things on it & sold again. Its not for everyone but it was one heck of a cool car...definitely haven't seen anything like it before..There is a silver one in Europe but isn't as nice as this one.

BaT has a restomodded '88 Targa listed - built from a totaled car. Interesting build with steel wide body but not nearly as nice looking as ^^^ the car above. One difference is the set up. The one on BaT is too low and the wheels/tires just don't properly fill the wide fender wells. Plus - it's not a 964

Re-paint colour - ideas?
Always good to re-awaken a 964 Targa thread Sir. After 9 years and nearly 50,000 hard road miles across Europe in my possession mine is finally succumbing to rust in too many places. Question is what colour to repaint. So many options. Currently black over cream leather as you can see. My initial thoughts Espresso Metallic 40D (technically a 86 to 88 colour but hey, who's counting right?), Maritime Blue 38B (of course) and a new one for me Amethyst Metallic 83K. As I'm sure you all agree, the key is a colour that chimes well with the hoop, not so easy. What say you? Other options?
