Default Mercedes special tool tip

Here's a tip on a tool I just used to pull the clock in my 964(removing my dash).
Mercedes makes pull hooks (part no. 140 589 02 33 00) that are used to pull things like the dash in a Mercedes. BUT it works awfully good at pulling just about anything that is in a tight area.
Made out of strong steel with plastic handles at the end to hold on to. Some folks fabricate something similar out of hanger wire but it's not the same thing, nor is it as strong.
It's a Wiha tool so you might be able to find it directly from Wiha but it's probably easier to go directly to Mercedes.
For me, it's one of those tools I couldn't do without.

Because if it was like mine, there was no way it would have come out by just pulling with your fingers and using a screwdriver would have damaged the clock or the dash.

Cool! I'll have to order one of these.
But still not the same thing as the Mercedes hooks. It'll fit in very small areas and you can stick them into screw holes. Used the tool to pull my headlight trim rings off when they refused to budge.

I thought the way to get the clock out was to remove the Tach - then reach in behind the clock and push it out -

You gotta have some girlie fingers to be able to latch on to the clock with them. Either that, or perfect manicure

Looks like a pretty concentrated load point.
Caution would be the user's watchword.
