Key Stuck in Ignition Switch
I drove my 964 to work today and, go figure, it took me 10 minutes of wiggling to get the key out of the ignition switch.
The key didn't want to turn the last 5 degrees to vertical. The key itself was made from a Porsche blank about 2 years and has worked fine. It worked fine in the door to lock the car.
Any ideas? I searched and oddly didn't see anyone else reporting this problem.

Wiggling the steering wheel didn't seem to have any effect.
I should mention that my car is a Tip also, and shifting in and out of P while wiggling the key didn't seem to work either.
Eventually the key just popped out.

My guess is that the lock has gone bad .
If you take it out and flush / spray clean and lube it up , it might work better .
If it does not work so good after the clean / lube , you might be needing a new one .
This
"The key didn't want to turn the last 5 degrees to vertical"
tells me that its the lock itself and not anything to do with the wheel / trans / interlock etc .
The other things should not be waiting to get involved in the last 5 degrees .
