I purchased my 1993 C2 Targa a couple of weeks ago and finally got a chance to post pics. The service history was good but I wanted to change the oil (BP), air filter, and fuel filter before focusing on much else.
I appreciate all the advice everyone posts here as it has made the purchase and maintenance (a little) less scary.
Thanks Nick. I'm pretty excited about it. With the help of RL I was able to figure out my ABS light, Tach, spoiler issue was a simple relay. One of the many posts on the power seat getting "unstuck" helped as well and ended up costing just a little time.
I do have a question though. When tightening the plug under the engine after an oil change how do you torque it down? None of the torque wrench/socket combos I have seem to "fit" in the available space. Hopefully what I'm saying makes sense.
Thanks guys. Yes, when I think of Porsche I think of the classic, bug eyed, air cooled, 911 Targa. I wasn't sure about the Oak Green Metallic at first but it has a classic flavor to it as well (plus I'm figuring it might save me a speeding ticket on occassion as I'm sure they are out to get the "red" ones). ;-)
Travis
Thanks Jim. That's the route I went with. I tried pulling off the engine cover/tray tonight to see if I could get at it differently (no luck). Gave me an excuse to clean off the oil that got away from me during the oil change though (not to mention getting in a little bonding time).
