As the above title i fitted some 993 engine mounts to my 964 as the originals had sagged quite a bit. I did try some second hand 964 mounts but they were as bad as the originals so they went back....
The 993 mounts are half the price of 964 mounts from an OPC £92 as opposed to £192!!!
Fitting is straight forward, i did buy some spacers as the threaded portion is about 10mm longer but they werent needed, they fitted perfectly.
Torqued up to the correct setting and all sitting nicelyi took it out for a spin yesterday and to be honest i was surprised by the difference.
Previously the back end felt very loose and took a split second to settle down after a tight corner or bend. With the new mounts the car felt very solid and planted as if glued to the road....
I would recommend this replacement; it takes about 30 minutes to do both if you take your time, just remember to get a deep 19mm socket and some extensions help!!
Every job i take on involves buying a new tool or socket!!
I have 993 (for the C4s, don't recall part number) mounts in my car also. I bought comparable bolts (size and quality) to the originals at the local hardware store. I've have not had any issues using these in my C4.
Yes they're the same.
I've been investigating and Pelican Parts offers the WEVO black or blue (Softer, harder) indistinctively for 993/964 @ $149 USD each
Also the Euro/RS are the same for 993/964
The best bang for the buck is Wevo cause it's the cheapest and probably the best.

Can anyone tell me the main (construction) differences are between the OEM 993 and 964 engine mounts? Really interested in doing it.
You would really have been happy if you had installed the RS mounts. Less than the factory units here in the states...
Dont forget with the solid Wevo mounts you also have to strengthen the engine carrier. Too much hassle for me personally as i will not be tracking this car that often...

Don't the Wevo ones transmit a lot of noise/harshness?
no noticeable increase in noise, ride is a little firmer now compared to worn out units.
if you can get your fingers between the two surfaces they are worn out!!
The ride is also a bit firmer (and a sharper back end) when just putting new 964 mounts on (like me) so it sounds like you've got the same result and kept a fair few quid in your pocket
