Just Awesome!
My RSA has sat dormant for too long this winter.
I took it to a meeting 2 hours away yesterday. This was going into western Maryland along route 68 (for those of us from Maryland). There are many up and down stretches through the mountains of western Maryland.
I can not believe how STRONG our cars are, and what a great highway cruiser they are! I made the trip a few weeks ago in my 2003 Mini Cooper S. There is no comparison. The Mini is nice..........BUT The RSA is solid, comfortable, and never lacking in power.
My RSA is not my daily driver, BUT Every time I drive my 16 year old RS America, I am always amazed. It always feels new, and for the last 16 years (I am the original owner), I have always liked it best, out of whatever other cars I owned.
AND - I got fuel when the trip said 375 miles.......I averaged 26 MPG, up and down those hills, NOT driving a constant speed. With our 20+ gallon talk I have averaged 29 to the gallon on past trips, and been over 500 miles without refueling. Very few modern cars can go that distance.
What a great car we all have!

It's been two long years since I last drove my 964, but it will be coming home very shortly and I shall be driving it to a delicious Chinese meal...
