What a fantastic day! weather held off, was a bit cold but sunny... a lot of the guys were doing charity rides/pax laps but i managed to squeeze in a few laps with Colin and his 964 Cup Car.
I have an announcement to make.
YOU CAN ALL KEEP YOUR MODERN JUNK!!!
Wow what a car! Standard Cup Car - munching the GT3's like nobodies business.
If i can get my car to go and handle even two thirds of that car then i'll be a happy man! I'm off up the garage to try and lose another 100kg!!
Mind you i think i may have shook some parts off the car when i started it as i was leaving, i'd replaced my centre console after fitting a new indicator flash unit, when i started the car, the console had wedged the accelerator down - whoops!
Glad you enjoyed it Matt, think we managed the best laps of the day in that session because on the next outing I started to suffer from severe brake judder which was compromising my late trail braking style. It was great to drive the car on half decent tyres for a change, earlier on in the week we finally managed to find the time to fit a set of part work Michelin Sport Cups, although I wish I had checked the pressure before we went out - they came in at 43psi front & 57psi rear at the end of our session!! Also think the speed of Kermit shocked a few unwary GT3 owners - maybe I should fit the spare engine with Motec, cams & headers so I could embarrass a few GT3RS's as well?

i would - that is my ambition - RS Killing 964 - as soon as work picks up i'll be calling - and to think i was thinking of getting rid of mine!

It'd be a shame to mess around with Kermit. Fact that it does so well in an unmolested form is to its credit. You've already got a monster to scare the GT3RSs - leave Kermit be
in all honesty though, it was quite an insight, also had a mini masterclass in driving a 964 quickly which was nice... I also had the benefit of following Colin thru a few corners so see how the car was behaving.
How could I ever think a 996 would be more entertaining!
