Yes, nice. Those are 18s which helps fill the gap.

When my car was finished / corner balanced, they were set at 12.5. 12.5 is a little high (in my opinion). Would like it lower for track but street is fine. To give you a visual idea I have 1" of gap from the top of the tread of my front tire to the fender lip.

BTW, I had a custom set of adjustable drop links (for TRG sways) made by the same pro mechanic who installed my KW kit. They are very nice with expensive heims. The good bit is that he made a bend (like factory) in the front links so they would pass by the brake line tab on the KWs. These were also designed to allow use of all five of the front and three rear slots on the TRG bars. The straight links for front will not pass the brake tab and require a modification; i.e., relocating the brake tab on the strut. He has one extra set he made to make it worth his while. Anyone interested, let me know and I will PM you his number. He charged $350 total for front and rear.

I had mine on the ground. The pics from Excellence mag show the very low ride height. I raised it 10mm from there to be fully in spec. Tech at KW said it shouldn't matter that much and after I raised it I noticed no difference. But we're talking a couple mm's each way. The hub to fender isn't the critical one, its the threaded area spec they give you.

What was the threaded spec? Wondering if that factors differently and gives some latitude? They didn't provide that spec to my mechanic when he discussed the issue. They used the 12.5inch hub to fender spec and it put the shock at 1.25 to 1.5 inches clearance between the strut body and the bump stop which they agreed with my guy is where most kits need to run. I would like to have some hard data on the CSs from anyone who has run lower with success. Would like to try the same with confidence. I thought of gradually lowering mine a few mm at a time before track days to gauge the changes. The 964s aren't the lightest- the lower the better.

I'm just recounting my experience and what they told me/my mechanic. I would personally call KW if you want to get a clear understanding of the ranges they recommend and what the impact will be going lower than the range before buying them. I hope you get good news b/c I want to go lower. Sometimes you get different people with different knowledge of the product. Be certain, once you order them there's no returning them. Don't know, but I would guess many street/track kits out there may not take this issue into account until you get into the full race versions that are expected to be driven slammed down

My geo guy told me that you cant get the rear toe to RS spec (ie good handling) if you go too low.

You also run into problems with bump steer.

Going to low could make it handle like a pig.... ?

Thats more likely if you use the standard drop links, should be ok with the RS links on the front.

scott - do you have your geo report?

fuzzy - droplinks wont affect geo though ?

i was told its the rear spring plates that wont allow adjustment when to low - rs spring plates are different.

bump steer i can live with...

he told me i have to run 10mm above rs ride height to maintain a good track setting - to be fair, it does handle very very well...

i'm only 2 seconds off a Manthey tuned GT3 over a 1min 20 sprint circuit... and i have no stability management or lsd, so it cant be that bad?

interested - have i been bul****ted? i would like to drop to at least rs height, no lower.

Sorry Matt.

Meant poor handling and bump steer, When I was going RS height but with standard links, if you look underneath they go past the point of being usefull, pointing towards the ground, rather than a more horizontal effect...it does make a little difference as to how it feels up front.

all 623 adjustment A on V3, bottom of thread to spring carrier is, front 50mm to 80mm, rear 40mm to 70mm same hub to lip as CS..

Franks car is fitted with CS and has been set up and it looks very low

Strega it concerns me that going low mucks it all up and all you lot seem to say it needs to go up again??

Perhaps CS are different to V3, KW were vague when I asked.

Fuzzies......stop mentioning drop links.....another can of worms
