What size wheels are you running?
I bought my '93 C2 last May. It came with stock 16" wheels and inexpensive Coopers tires. I thought the tires were in good shape, except for a slow leak in one of the rears. However, before I stored the car for the winter I brought the tire in to be fixed only to find out that the previous owner had driven it with too low of air pressure, which ruined the side wall.
I'm trying to decide if I should buy new tires or use this opportunity to buy new rims/tires? My plan was to wait a couple year (the tires were in good condition) and focus on other areas of the car. However, since I need new tires anyway, I hate to buy new tires when I'll likely want to upgrade in the future.
I was thinking about looking for some used 17" Cups but wondered what size rims most people are running? I know Porsche does not recommend 18" for the 964, but it seems like there are more choices available in that size.
Any recommendation here is much appreciated. I plan on driving mostly on street but plan to do a few DT/DE events.
Thanks!

17 Cup 1 replicas 7.5" front, 9" rear with 225 and 255s. No spacers, no rubbing, no issues.
Absolutely agree with this but will add the Replicas are the way to go.
Lets face it Cup 1 is the only 17 inch way to go

I run Cup I's 7 & 9's for street and AX, looking for a set of 8's and 18" fikse's for track. Occasionally I will throw the spare set of speedlines on for fun but boy do they feel heavy compared to the fikse's.

I have a set of 18" MY02 five-spoke wheels for the street (MPS's)
and
I have 2 sets of 17" Boxster twist wheels for the track (MPSC's for dry and MPS's for wet) but
I am going to swap for Hoosier wets once the MPS's wear out.

16" Cup 1's for DE track use, and 17" Cup 1's for the street. (and a set of 16" D90's just in case)

I use Cup 1 17 inches wheels (front originals, rear 9 inches replicas) using Yokohamas Advan Sport (front 205 rear 255)
Planning of upgrading the fronts using the now repaired OEM rears with wider tires

Dwane, My street car runs the 17" replicas. My race car uses the BBS 3 piece magnesium wheels in 18x10 and 18x12". Yes, I would not run any other wheel than a BBS on a race car.
