Is this a good price or "too" good a price??

Dont want to start a discussion about water cooled or air cooled. I know some people are very sensitive about that subject!! I just figured I kind of wanted a 911 turbo. Ive seen alot 964 and 993 turbos going for similar prices to 996 turbos. Maybe a little less but, for the difference i'd personally want the newer car with less miles. I drive alot so the fewer the miles the better. I might also have to retract my previous statement about the 997 turbos. Ive seen them for as little as $85K. Yea that is a world of difference from what I was originally looking at but, it is feasible if I sell my daily car, save some money and hopefully get this promotion from my job!! Also the insurance rates are cheaper if you can believe that. I do love the lines of the 993 turbo though!

After doing alot of thinking I dont think I will be getting a newer 911. I just cant get away from looking at pictures of 964's. I have to say that they are....dare I say the best looking 911 out there imo. I also really dont want to let go of my daily ride. I will be going back to the dealership to see if the guy still has the car and if he is cool with a ppi. If so I might just be a new 964 owner in the next few weeks!!!

Well unfortunately I may have to put a hold on getting the 964. I believe that just this evening I may have seriously hurt the tranny in my daily ride. I guess 500hp and a stock 5 speed don't go well together!! Hopefully it isnt some too major that will need a complete rebuild but, if it does it'll only be done once. I will be putting in ppg straight cut gears 1st-5th. Chodaboy here are some pics of the ride:

Fortunately the bill to repair my daily ride is alot less than I expected so I might still be able to acquire a 964 after all. It may take a few weeks longer but, its not completely out of the question. YAY!!!!
