My car is Midnight Blue, but I can't remember what the color of the interior is called - I called Porsche this summer to check, because I needed some floor mats to go with the interior. They told me that the floormats should be Cobalt blue, but I don't think that is the color of my interior.

It's dark enough that, when my father went to pick up my car (with blue interior) at night, he said "I thought you said this car would have a blue interior...this one is black"

I think "marine blue" was the most common blue for 964 interiors. Quite a bit darker than midnight blue 993 interiors. Nicer too IMO.

Is it called Marine Blue? As mentioned before, Porsche told me this summer that I should order floor mats in cobalt blue to go with the interior - but when I finally ordered the floor mats this month they told me it should be Marine Blue - I am confused.

Anyway, I now got my floor mats (marine blue), and I think they are just perfect - will post pics soon.

I use black floor mats in mine. It breaks up the blue a bit.

Rob,
This pic is a good colour representation of my interior. I was lead to believe it was midnight blue! Good combination with the polar silver.

Hey Polar964, with the exception of those white stripes in your seats (and the fact that your steering wheel is the other side ) I think your car and mine are brothers ( or maybe cousins)
What options do you have in your 964?

thanks guys , so was there only 1 shade of blue in 964s and the pics just vary as the lighting is different? Paul's photos look very different than the others. Im considering a white car with blue interior.
Ive seen polar silver over blue 993 cars and the blue looks exactly like Paul's pics.

Here's a shot of mine in natural light, and it pretty closely reflects the color. For some reason the flash shots always look a much brighter blue.

BTW, my car is white with blue interior, and it is definitely faster than any other color combination.

Henry ..... may be, what was the production year of your car? (mine 92 - 93) The only main option other than standard options was the sport seats. However the interior option code which is 'SW', I've been unable to find info on. Having seen pic's of other interiors i suspect that the white piping was an option also, which may be linked to the interior option code.

Rob ....... 12 mths ago I purchased some new over-mats from my local OPC in midnight blue and these matched just perfect. So since then had assumed rightly or wrongly that the interior was midnight blue! Vifa sounds pleased he has marine blue, which would agree with the shade difference. Just need someone to confirm cobalt blue, then bingo all three shade sorted !!

cwrm4 ....... bizarre, i always thought polar silver was the fastest colour
