After following the forum for quite some time, I finally found the right car. Thanks for all the helpful info! '91 C2 GP White with 85K miles. Now the fun begins!
Interesting items on your list. (no 'wrong' things, there -- personal preferences. have fun!)
I'd posit first thing to consider is 'eating yer vegetables'. ie, bringing the car's rudimentary stuff righteous, consumables-wise: filters, fluids flushed, pads/rotors thicknesses checked, and fixing existing weirdnesses. If you can do this stuff yourself, all the better!
This gives you a good basis datum to launch off of and is cheap insurance/ peace of mind over recent previous owner receipts. (eg, my weirdnesses showed cam seals and spark plugs needed changing. Go figure.)
Alignment checked?... heh -- talk about a vegetable.
