First of all I want to say Hello to all of you, I`m a new member here.!
I`m owner of Carerra 4 (964) from 92`! Lately I noticed that the little yellow lamp above differential lock is blinking when I`m driving through city (we have little rough roads). It is only blinking when I pass through some damaged road little bit faster! Does anyone know is this normal or it is something wrong?!

Thank you
If it's only blinking when you're driving over bumbs in the road, then it's nothing to worry about, it's the PDAS system (traction control) that detects that one or more of the wheels are rotating faster than the others and try to compensate and so activate the warning light.
No problems.
Hey, I've noticed this also on my '91 C4. My light blinks on for a few seconds if I hit a decent bump on the highway (bridges, construction, etc.). I wasn't sure if it was normal or not. The electronics must be impressively sensitive to pickup on such a slight wheel speed difference. I'm all stock save for H&R + Bilsteins and lowered down ~1". Would like to hear from others about this.
I've enabled the green light on the instrument cluster which also lights up when the little yellow light on the lower console comes on. I see it come on quite a bit. Some found it offensive so the bulb was pulled in production, but it doesn't bother me and I like seeing when the system is live. It goes on often over bumps. It's more interesting when I get it to kick in on clean pavement with hard cornering and/or acceleration. I guess that's when a C2 would be waggin' it's tail. I think that'd be fun too!
I have an 89 C4 and for the past 3 years the first and last half mile have been up a hilly Jeep trail / powerline easement - very rough. I have not noticed any excessive wear other than a little damage when scrapin the bottom.
The PDAS system can be a real pain though. I went through hell of PDAS/brake warning lights and full Christmas trees before replacing the coils and plug wires, as suggested by my friends on this great site, which resolved all the alarms.
Mine goes on over speedbumps and in that one great right hander on the way home where I really jump on it. If I had a C2 I would have easily out-driven my skills by now...
