Default Porsche Brake Calipers on Ebay ???

I was searching for Brembo Big Reds Brake for my 964 and came across these on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-2...=p4506.c0.m245

Does anyone have any experince with these brakes, they look the same. Your feedback / input would be great!

Thanks,

They are Brembo knock-offs. My ¢2: I wouldn't put my life at risk by using them.

+1. Wouldn't trust them. They may be perfectly fine, you may never have a problem, but I just am not a big fan of what I assume are chinese knock offs.

Ilko - thanks for the advice! Wasn't sure if the porsche folks were using these or not.

Thanks again

The dealer will sell you a brand new set of black ones for about the same price! ($260 per caliper I think?)

Really for the Big Reds the dealer prce is 260.00 per? The calipers on ebay are knocks, but I think are supposed to be like "Big reds" or to the spec. If the price is 520 for 2 front brembos I'll go today and order a pair.

Big reds are worth more than big blacks. But once you get the calipers, you'll need the brackets and rotors. Making your own kit out of used parts can give you a saving but not sure if you buy everything new at the dealer.

I wouldn't say they're "worth" more - they are definitely more expensive, but are identical in all functional respects!

You're absolutely right, just a wrong choice of words from my part.
