How did you get that? Mine gets lit when the key is in "on" position.

I'll take a look tonight to refresh my memory. It lights up when the key is in the acc or run position - handy for when it's already dark out! The light goes out as soon as you turn the lights to either of the on positions so that it doesn't reflect off the window (appearing in the side view mirror).

Has anyone replaced the instrument lights with LED's yet?
wondered about price and difficulty to find 'snap in' LED's for the dash. -D²

I got mine working a ferw years ago. It does show in the outside mirror. I may rewire to be on when the lights are off

I cross wired terminal "X" in the middle of the switch with gray/blk wire on terminal 58.

Not sure how it works, but here's the summary of what happens:
with ignition off the switch lights up if you turn it to either of the on positions
with ignition in acc or run position it lights up but turns off (unlights?) when switch is in either on position.

nothing has exploded or burst into flames yet so i assume it's ok!
