If that was the one in Chicago, it did look great BUT had a lot of front end paintwork - strange for a 33K car.

I assume you mean more than just the bumper cap? Had it been in an accident? It's not uncommon for any 964s to have had a bumper cap resprayed after 15 years of stone chips and steep driveway scrapes.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I read the description and thought, "What a splendid car!" until I got to the part where he said the PO had sprayed the hood, bumper, fenders, etc. He said his PPI showed no signs of accident, but still, I had to wonder why a rock-chip repair was so extensive on a low-mile car.
