RonCT has a very good point. A lot are ending up back in Europe(UK, Belgium and Germany). Price will start to rise further in the US for two reasons;
1)Traditonally the UK imports a lot of 'toys' from Japan, however the prices have risen dramatically of recent and with the £ on the slide and 28% duty/tax its not really economic.
2) US cars are very attractive with the £/$, duty is still payable, but the plus point is the history is in English. In fact most cars heading out of the US for Europe will go to the UK first, get registered and then be sold onto continental Europe because its a real pain, if not impossible in some cases, to register a non EU in Europe.

Back to the blue Porsche, why is it on a 1982 UK plate?

I actually called about that car as well. He says he has all documentation from new. His prices are a bit high in general but one of my colleagues has purchased two cars from Holt and he swears by them. In fact, that's his Silver Edition that is for sale on the website.

I was really interested in the Tahoe Blue 92' at Holt, great rare exterior color (US anyway), nice options and detailed documented history but I couldn't live with the Linen interior, especially with the supple leather it reminds me of a 70's Cadillac. What a shame, what was the original owner thinking when they ordered the interior in that color? If the interior had been Black or even Classic Gray the car would be sitting in my garage now!

I'm not a fan of the linen interior and it would loook better in tan or black. You would not want to change the interior on a car with a unique color like Tahoe Blue either which I have heard of people doing. I tried to buy this car when it was for sale on AutoTrader by the private owner for $24k (could live with the interior at that price) and Holt got to it. Glad I didn't buy it b/c I ended up with a better car, lower miles, and color combo I could live with for the same price. You just have to be patient. Took nearly a year to find mine.

$24k to $32k nice profit! if Holt gets his asking price. Patience is a virtue I guess but hard to keep lashed down when the sun is shining

All but the linen are hitting my right buttons. (Linen's just a personal pique, is all.)
I've got a GP White with Linen and Blue interior. It looks wonderful, but is a true PITA to keep clean!

blue & linen sounds festive, all right. I learned my lesson once just keeping a tan interior clean. Hot, basic, tidy black for me from now on.
Different strokes for dif'rent folks.

Light colors are fine unless your name is Pig Pen. If black hides dirt, the dirt is still there and who wants that?
The only problem I've ever had with tan was at my last shop visit, when the mechanic forgot to put a cover over the seat when he was working on the lower dash, and smudged up the seat big-time. Really gave me a stiffie, I was pretty unhappy. But it cleaned up okay.

I've got a light interior in my daily driver Lexus and, while it does show dirt more quickly, I've got a bottle of Griot's Interior cleaner in my car care cabinet that I use as needed to keep it nice. 5 minutes a week....

While I'm still shopping for my first 911, I know it'll be subject to a lot less wear and tear than my DD.

I'm actually starting to like the Baltic Blue car that Holt has. It's a linen interior as well though.

Default Linen interior PITA!!

I have a linen interior with slate gray metallic exterior, black top cab. The color is a total bitch to keep clean. Shows dirt like nothing else. The carpet, especially on the drivers side is impossible to keep clean, period. Nothing works on it!!

When it's detailed it looks nice and compliments the paint nicely. I learned to never go light for the interior carpet again. Seats you can deal with.

Try Griot's Interior Cleaner on the carpets. Has been recommended by the detailers in the Car Care section of RL, and for good reason. It can be used on just about anything, and cleans stains and dirt that other stuff won't touch.
