I have just replaced all of these pipes, it was a long job but now the old girl is dry again!
remember to order the rubber mounts for the oil tank and thermostat if your replacing pipe 46 as you have to take the tank out and they will probably need replacing (only a cheap part!).

It may be too late in this case, but a good hydraulic shop can fabricate these hoses, or most of them, for a fraction of the dealer cost, and from fresh, current technology materials. I see Porsche hoses in my local shop every time I go there. Take the entire hose in to get the right match on the fittings, or to reuse the old ends. Also ask the shop to clock any bends and ends to the factory contour. I hope this helps.

Just a caveat on getting a shop to make the hose.
1) if your ends swivel they will never get the right position for installation.

If geogiadave has found a good shop get them from him, otherwise Sunset.

I know of another poster who had them made and they were made wrong and he ended up buying Porscde.

Hi guys. I've recovered this thread because I need replace 26 & 30 hoses.

The question. Is it posible to remove whitout removing the oil tank?

I fear that after then remove them no space to place new, and the task turn at big task...

Thanks.

Paco.

Yes. I did it without removing the tank. Its very tight but can be done.

What a timely thread to reappear. My car just peed about 1/3 Q of oil in this area last night. So much for my fun run tomorrow morning.

She needed a an oil change anyway.

One hint when changing the small hoses (26 &30) - drop them into a beaker of boiling water for a couple of minutes beforehand. Makes them much more pliant and very easy to put on - literally a 30 second job and no more skinned knuckles! Old tip from my diving days getting rubber hose protectors onto regulators...

Well, for me, it turned out to be the expensive line (oil filter housing to thermostat) and the lower oil tank to thermostat line. The expensive line was wet from the thermostat connection to where it makes the bend in the wheel well behind the oil tank.

Dang. I just had this done. I was leaking at the front right fender. Being new to Porsche ownership, I had the car looked over thoroughly and this needed attention. $1300 bucks. Did I get taken? They used Porsce hoses.

mojo, I think you had the hoses to the oil cooler replaced. This thread is about the oil tank in the right rear fender.

the two hoses to the oil cooler cost ~$450 or more each from Porsche.

Your right Steve. Thanks. I had a leak at the tank too but it was just the crush washer.
