I'd image you did if you were using those Canadian dollars! Now on a serious note....how do you like them?....and what did you upgrade from?

Thanks.

Thanks

What I got from an email to V.Bob today....

"Yes I sell the JIC setup. I am the largest JIC distributor for Porsches (or so JIC tells me J ).

Sounds like a fun car. Between the weight and power yes I can see where a good set of JICs would help quite a bit. As a weekend fun toy I would go with a little heavier spring setup. I have lots of 964/965 guys with the JICs and they work great for what you are doing. The JIC setup is $2795."

Guys at JIC actually had them quite a bit lower in $$ a couple months back. I have attempted to reconnect w/Paul there and I'll tell you what I hear.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Just an FYI...Paul is an Hankook tires now, no longer at JIC though I still talk to him about my install.

Haven't driven on them yet but installed. I had some of the issues others have had with quality control. I got sent the wrong rear spring rate as well as the wrong front lower mounts. It did take some time and effort to resolve but I ended up with a spare set of springs and an extra set of lower mounts...so I can't complain.

I got them as a special directly from Zeil but they aren't doing it anymore.

I never rode on the PSS9s but took them off in favor of the JICs. I like the build quality and the height adjustment with the bottom mount is a great design.

There are a couple vendors on 6speedonline that carry them too as well as Imagine Auto. $2100 is close to what I paid. When was that quote? Supposedly the prices went up in 08 and the vendors cannot provide the same discount.

I'd pick up the phone and call.

Good luck.

RT

I also got the rear spring adjusters but prob. won't use them. $60 shipped if anyone wants them.

I bought mine from Stephen at IA. Since I live very close i had IA install them as well. I believe Stephen can get you as good a price as anyone. Give him a call.

BTW, I really LOVE mine. I have the car lowered but not enough to be a problem (now that I have the 930, the 964 track days will be limited), I bought the "street springs" nadhave the dampers set about half way between hard and soft. Big difference from the stock turbo set up and still fine for the street.

I put these on a few months back and am quite pleased with the results. First autox (in the dry) went very well;

and 9th overall for the day.

I had simliar QC problems. Wrong lower brackets on the rear and loose adjustment nuts. As AGR pointed out it took a while but eventually did get resolved. I bought mine thru Dan at Vivid and he was a big help in getting things taken care of with JIC (and they had the best price).

I'm going to be selling a used set of their competition coilovers that fit a 964 soon if anyone is interested. They maybe have a total of 7500 street miles, 6 DEs and a half dozen auto-x days on them.

Been a little tied up with things recently (that whole life thing that gets in the way), but should be around more now. Please check your PMs.

Just curious, if these were on your car that had the big crash, did you send them back to JIC or somewhere else to check for direct or sympathetic damage?
