I have a friend of mine that I am bringing into the addiction.
He is interested in a c2 or c4 coupe. His preference would be a c2. He will be driving the car on a semi regular basis with a few auto crosses and DEs thrown in.
Location of the southeast coast USA would be the best.
This is one that I was looking at before buying my current car. The car started out listed as $32,980 but down in the body of the ad, it read that was the price after $2000 down. Well at $34,980 it still sounded like a good deal. I called and talked to a salesman named Ronnie. After our first conversation, the advertised price went up to $37,980 and if you look on Cars.com it is listed for $39,980. Ronnie seemed willing to work with me on the price. He kept asking me to name my price but he would have to get it OKayed with his boss and since I had found another car, I decided not to play. Not sure about the dealer's pricing games but it looks to be very clean and is a one-owner car.
Mike D.,
Sound example. (Though I'm a private sale-preference kinda' guy)
Odd thing I noticed is that the engine wasn't detailed. Weird for a dealer NOT to have hit that button. Just sayin'.
Thanks for the PMs and posts so far. I think he would be looking for something in the 19k to 21k range (dollars).
Perhaps he would go a bit out for a special car, but I think the showroom low low mileage cars, while fairly priced, would be out of his price range.
I just got a 964 from Exclusive Motors in Charlotte. Small dealer specializing in used Porsche's. Guys were OK. Ask for Stan and tell him the guy that just bought the black cab sent the recommendation.
From: Seattle xburb - I can't see the Emerald City, but I know it's out there somewhere
