Euro RS ride height with Bilstein HD/H&R Green ?

Ive found a very useful tool to adjust the spring perches. Ive got several motorcycles and they all have factory tool kits which include a tool to adjust the spring perch on the motorcycle shock. Any Honda motorcycle dealer should be able to order this tool for you for very minimal cost. I dont have a picture but I can tell you it works very well on bilstien or koni shocks when they are on a 964.

Isn't this just a spanner nut wrench? You can find one at a good hardware store or an adjustable one online at McMaster Carr (style F):

Granted, the close quarters may make it hard to reach. My 2 cts.

My car rides on Bilsteins and H&R Greens. A local race-prep shop did the install and alignment for the previous owner. I don't know what he specified for height, but I measure it at 116mm front and 226mm rear.
This is a bit low in front and high in back relative to RS. But in the pictures it looks the opposite to me (high in front and low in back). Perhaps my measurements are off. I have no complaints about the handling but the ride is very firm and the butt drags in my driveway. Would raising it up a bit, perhaps just in back, give more compliance to the ride quality?

Three Wheelin'
How many of you "lowerers" are running 18" wheels? Are there going to be issues?
And, to repeat what I asked on a different thread, what is the best lowering bang-for-buck for street use?
Thanks in advance . . . (and great tech thread).

I found this thread as searching for information on Bilstein HD and H&R spring as I am thinking about getting my wife a new suspension for her 93 964 as a BD present. She drives the car on the street and does a few DEs, but I am concerned that if the car is lowered very much, it would bottom out on the street. I really like the ride height shown in this thread. If I understand this thread correctly, I can use H&R green or red and lower the car by only 30-35 mm compared to current stock ride height. Is that correct?
Also, can the RS drop link be used with stock sway bars or do I need to go with the 24 F and 26 R bars given at H&R site?
Thanks

greens have a slightly softer spring rate and will be slightly lower than the reds as a results with the perches on the bottom ..
Euro RS drop links can be used on any C2 with stock bars

I think there are issues that were not adressed.
1) When you lower the car by compressing the spring between the perch and top stop, You change the spring rate in that corner.
If you set up with Coil over like JICs or similar. you can lower with out changing spring rate or risking shock bottom out.
2 ) 964 /965 platform has terrible bump steer when lowered too much. Unless you change the uprights to correct the geometry.
pics of my car is aprox RS height with a slight rear rake for track work .
JICs are easy to lower and no bump steer at this setting.

Check with Bilstein if the 93 HD use the same FRONT shock as the 993 (has extra thread of lowering) or 91 964. If I remember correctly, 93 964 use the same FRONT part # as the 993. The REAR shock is no problem with lots of threads for lowering. But the older(91-92) HD 964 FRONT shock has very limited thread. It (older FRONT HD) will give you very little ride height adjustment. Mainly for corner balance. However, if your 93 happens to use the older Fronts there is a solution by using a "lowering collar". For Auto X, will go with the REDS. GL

Turbohead, Thanks for the pictures. I do not want to lower the car as much as yours. I doubt that it can get in and out of my driveway without loosing both ends. Ride height of Rich L.'s car pictured in ther thread is what I'd like to shoot for.
Solitude, thanks for the info. I will check on part number.
