Default Made some pics b4 she's gone...

Sadly we will be moving to Hong Kong and my 964 is up for sale. Did all the mod's so everything is the way I like it and now, later today I have some interested parties to view the car... The only good news is that Hong Kong has a rather good choice for Pcars so I will be in the market there very soon.

Anyway I made some photos and here they are. One with my wife and dog... my son prefered to play XBox at home... gotta have your priorities right:

Guys you have eyes like eagles... the steering wheel is Ruf and I just put a crest inside. The seat brackets came with the buckets and I thought that's how these are supposed to look like until I checked out the Recaro Pole Position which is a similar seat but with what looks like heavier brackets.

Rear: 18 x 10 with 265/35 ET 52

No spacers, direct bolt on!

James993,

That basket handle is the one thing that really doesn't belong on that car... hard to remove those buggers since it's cross drilled through the engine lid. When I get my next car (will be a 993) there will be no basket handle for sure.

James993,

Why do you recommend EARLY 1995 for the 993? Because they don't come with the Varioram and don't have the SAI issues? Or is there something else I should know when it comes to picking the right car?

Toni, I wasn't specifically recommending an early 95, rather suggesting that you not eliminate a 95 with a basket handle simply because of the basket handle.

The '95 cars have the OBD1 system. The '96-'98 cars have the OBDII system. There are advantages to both.

My son's '90 C2 and my '95 are very similar cars. Mine feels a little faster but that could be due to the LWF, which also makes the car sound louder at idle .

I'm really glad you posted these pictures. I have been looking at those AP wheels and had wondered how they would look on a dark coloured car.

Good luck with the new purchase!

Thumbs up

So THAT's what clearance between seat and side carpeting looks like in a righteous aftermarket seat selection...

(note to self: get a clue from Toni on elegant/simple/nice seat & bracketry choices. )

Toni -- Best of luck with that upcoming 993! This 964 came out quite nice.
And best wishes on your move!

Thought I post some better pics of the seats/ brackets. Installed the seats myself and they are both very close to the middle of the car and have quite some clearance towards the doors. Feels right but since the buckets didn't come with assembly instructions and I don't have a comparison I am wondering if it's supposed to be that way... any thoughts?
