Question M030 option

Can anybody tell me all the parts the M030 option for the 964 included?

I suppose it's all of the RSA's standard equipment but what was it exactly and are the parts still available (excluding weight saving differences).

Suspension-wise was it the same as the 965? Any idea how it compares to something like Bilstein HD's/Koni Sports/H&R's/Eibachs?

It seems to me there is more difference between front & rear spring rates with the M030 than with H&R's (for example H&R's have stiffer front springs but almost the same as M030 rates at the rear). Does this cause M030 equipped cars to understeer less and track better at the front on less than perfect roads?

Thanks

I have the M030 option on my car and it contains stiffer springs and dampers. They are not as stiff as the H&R Red with Bilstein HDs. In fact, when I switched to the H&R Red, I kept the M030 shocks and they were Ok, but the Bilstein HDs are much better matched. The front sway bar is 22mm with M030 and 20mm standard. I cannot remember what the rear bar differences are since they changed depending on year and options.

I believe the M030 only upgraded the front bar and rear bar was standard to the C2 for the year beginning as an option in 1991 so 20mm rear. I don't believe the M030 was offered on the C4.

The info I have says the T/L tip used a 21mm rear. Which is correct?

Also I was wrong the did offer M030 for the C4 although it used different front strut for extra weight. rear sways stayed the same on all models.

I'm glad you guys got into this. I'm getting new bushings and wanted to make sure I order correctly. If I read Bill's chart right, my 1991 C2 non-M030 with manual trans has 20mm front and rear? Just making sure I read all that right. Thanks for posting the values.

What size are the rear sways for M030 & RSA? Maybe I missed it in the list above.
