I'm hoping someone can help me determine conclusively if mine is or isn't. I'm looking at getting Powerslot frozen, slotted rear rotors for my 964. This will be the 1st time I've replaced the rotors. I e-mailed powerslot and they told me as long as it's a C2/4 and not an RS America, their rotor will fit. Well, I bought the car used and the previous owner referred to the car as an RS America, but people who know the difference (not me ) say that it's not. It's never mattered that much to me before because it's a race prepared car and I'm happy w/it either way.
Before I order rotors that might not fit, how can I tell? Will the VIN tell me? Can I measure my rotor and tell? This will also make a difference when I get new fron rotors and I may change from Alcon to Powerslot if I'm happy w/the rears.

What is the 13th digit of the VIN? If the answer is 1, then you have an RSA. Regardless, there is absolutely no difference that I know of in the brake calipers and rotors between a C2/C4 and an RSA. They are identical.

OK. The 13th digit is in fact a 1, so I have an RSA
Now a bigger question. What type of rear rotors do you guys recommend for the track? The powerslot frozens are $280 and they say they won't fit RSA's (?). I had a Indy put cross drilled rotors on 2.5 years ago and they're just now needing replacement. I'm guessing at least 30 race w/e's a 1 replacement of the Alcon fronts. I checked the bill and the rears were like $50! I think the guy told me they were sent off to be frozen, but still, $50 is a good price! I couldn't find the price for freezing them in the bill.
Anyway, long story short: what do you guys run on the rears on the track that might be more affordable (anf fit)? I would prefer slotted.

Somebody misunderstood someone else during the communication process.

964 RSA and C2 and C4 for that matter all use exactly the same rotors f/r

964 RS, Cup, turbo, and C2 turbolook all use a different set ups

Zimmermans are fine. I pounded the **** out of mine and after about 3 seasons they started to show very minimal cracking. Check the link below, it looks like they offer them in non drilled for under $100 each. Probably the best bang for the buck.

For the rear. 964 Euro RS(same as Cup) rotors are nice. They are cross drilled and part number starts with 951....

Mark, yes it's the original color. My car was prepared by G&W Motorsports (Synergy Racing now) for the 1995 24 hrs. of Daytona. If my car history was told to me correctly, it qualified, but never made it to the starting line. Others have actually told me it finished and was in Excellence magazine. I got the May 1995 issure but didn't see my car in it.
It's pretty much stickered as it was that day. I'm planning on painting, but will insure the original stickering stays intact. I need to post more and newer pic. I'll will do that soon.

Thanks for the info, Mark! I will definitely spend some time on this site. I'm going to get my VIN when I get home and register the car.
I dicided to go with the Frozen Powerslots rear rotors. Probably more than I'll ever need, but probably won't have to replace anytime soon, either.
