Default Vitesse MAF kit - Dyno results, before and after

We finally made it back to the dyno, as promised I am sharing the data.

I would like to thank Derek for taking the time so we can dyno his car with and without the MAF. We used the same dyno facility as prior dyno runs.

The car is a MY94 964, cat bypass, primary bypass, LWF. The test was performed on 93oct fuel, on the same dyno, the same car a few minutes apart.

- The AFM test was performed first. The engine bay was fairly cool as we had to install the AFM and the stock chip before performing the runs with the AFM/VAF.
- After performing the AFM runs, we installed the MAF kit. We ran the car approx 18 back-to-back dyno pulls. The MAF results were consistent between runs!

The whole test took about an hour. The dyno chart shows the results. Enhanced performance is across the board where it matters most, not just a peak number.

NOTE: This thread and the dyno test sole purpose is to show the results based on the MAF conversion. This thread is not to show how the 964 performs with every other modification.

For more information on the Vitesse MAF kit, check out this link 964 MAF Conversion

Very nice! Big thanks to Derek for taking his personal time and money to give us some actual numbers!

Actually this last dyno session was on Vitesse, of course it could not have been done without Derek volunteering his own car.

You are welcome. We did not use the PiggyBack as Derek did not get the PiggyBack. I used our in-house developed tools for tuning.

The crank HP calculation depends on the value for drivetrain loss. If you use 15% for drivetrain loss, then 300 crank hp is correct.
The important factor is the power gain across the RPM range, not just a peak number.

can you feel a significant difference in throttle response with the kit?

Yet it could not pull away from Springer's stock 964.

You know nothing about the car in question. Lots of assumptions and no real facts. If you do not find the above results appealing, feel free to shop elsewhere. DO NOT TRY TO TURN THIS THREAD INTO A NEGATIVE ONE!

John,

I do shop. The only negatives are given by the prior results of which I am not a part of. Live with it.

Thank you for the valuable information! I deal with concrete facts not BS claims. If you have any information you like to share please start your own thread. Have a good day!

This thread is sufficient. Your work, thus far, has proven equal to a stock 964.
Pushed timing and the improved throttle response of the MAF are all I see. No real performance gain.

Noah, you believe what you want, the results are in RED and BLUE. Keep on believing the earth is flat!
Please do not post on this thread any more.
