Default For all those fellow listers that are also Skiers (must read)!!

Yes, I know this is not Porsche business but, to fellow skiers, it's important so I thought I would share this because I went yesterday (first powder day of the season) and boy it was UNBELIEVABLE!
24-36 inch's of fresh snow in the last 48 hrs, here in Utah.
So if you have a chance, or the time, will or inclination, get out their, we have powder EVERYWHERE!!!!

Happy Holidays to all, and let it snow, let it snow!!!

So, you didn't buy a GT3 or find an elusive mint 959 for a song of a price. No. You had to tell us East Coast guys about how much POWDER you have on the slopes of Utah!! Ahh!!! My drive way is a three inch sheet of ice right now and my Suburban is stuck at the bottom! What we do out here can scarcely even be called skiiing! But, please, do rub it in, er, I mean, tell us about the wonderful conditions out West.

If at all possible, pictures would be nice :-)

I do hope you are getting out on the slopes! Take a run for me . . . .

I skied Park City, Snowbird and Brighton last year - what great slopes! It had just dumped a lot of powder before I got to Snowbird...wonderful.
But back here on the East Coast - not so good, although my driveway isn't a sheet of ice at least.

I'll be at Vail in early Feb. Can't wait. They are getting dumped on too. I just hope we get some fresh powder while I am there.

I did Snowbird / Alta 3 years ago. Some pretty great skiing there.

We got a lousy 3" here last weekend and ice on top of that. It makes for a nice commute into work.

I'm in Salt Lake too, I'm sure the kids will convince me to take them snowboarding this weekend. I plowed a foot of snow out of my driveway this morning.

Default East don't su@k either

Sugarbush and Mad River Glen got almost 5 feet since December 3. That be 5 feet of eastern snow. Which be about 20 feet of Alta Snow.

SKI IT IF YOU CAN!

Default Keep it coming!!!

Keep it coming, I love reading about all us old ski bum's. I live in Aspen CO. for over a decade, and also worked at Vail for two seasons (just to try the part of our valley).
As I said in my fallow up post, we (the family) went to Mt Brighton tonight and watched fire works, usually no biggy but fun anyway, but they were shooting them off right over our head, I go some unreal shot's (pic's), have you ever been that close to a real fire works show, really , really cool, post tomorrow.
Got to go to bed, early morning powder raid!
Cheers.

I actually suggested to my wife last week that we give Utah a try again at the end of next week. No go. Her loss, huh? Mine too, I suppose!

Default Mavericks

Elbee964,

I've been to Mavericks, it's unbelievable, truly unbelievable, the guys that are out surfing that when it's really big (The Santa Cruz Boys) are truly really MEN!
I think that everyone should see that once in their lives, truly amazing!

I spent and couple of months living in Santa Cruz a few years back, helping one of my best friends mother fight off cancer (teach her how to eat/cook organically) and besides the reason that I was there, which she ended up beating it (Go Mom!) was one of the greatest times I've ever had living any where (Hwy 1, Merino's mexican food, the ocean, beach, girls, surfing, riding/driving, etc.) not all necessarily in that order, but what a great place.

Make a turns for me!

Cheers,
