The new Jubi 964
I Have now parked my new beauty in the garage. it’s a 964 Jubi with the Turbo body in outer mint condition. As always, how good it ever looks, there is always a lot off works…correcting things, reconnect thinks, update the original cassetradio to a discrete CD player….fixing things you didn’t see or find when you purchased it.
One problem I couldn’t fix is the blower…It works with cold air all the way up to speed 4. As soon as I turn the heating ****… It dies…some sort of a sensor maybe…but with one is “kaput ?” What does that thing do on the picture?

Hi Polman,
Welcome to the Jubi world! Which number have you got? Mine is 459. Talk about fixing! Mine is currently in for a service, a little bit earlier than expected as I developed an oil leak from the oil thermostat pipes and thought I'd have it serviced while its in anyway. There are always things to do. What colour is your interior?
Regards
Frans

The problem with the internal blowers is almost certainly caused by the rear blower not running. When you turn the heat control towards the red dot the rear blower shoud start up at slow speed. If it doesn't, the internal fans will stop almost immediately.
The problem with the rear blower is likely to be (a) a blown fuse - in the rear electrical compartment, MUST be 30 amp. (b) a stuck relay - swap with oil cooler relay to check. (c) bad ballast resistor - clipped to left side of blower plenum. Or (d) bad CCU. Check them in that order.
Regards
Dave

I can't see it from the picture, but please verify that the distributor vent kit has been installed (completely unrelated to your question/problem, sorry)
Congratulations on the new car

Often referred to as a Jubilee model although more correctly called a Celebration edition of the 964. A very special "special" edition of 911 cars were built - although only 899 were shipped - in 1993 to celebrate the 30 years of production of the 911 using the turbo wide body but otherwise normal narrow bodied running gear. The cars had a full leather interior and air conditioning.
Very similar to the 1994 wide bodied coupes shipped to the US although the Celebration models had a unique "911" badge on the rear and a numbered plaque on the dash. Hence the questions above about the number.
The cars were only available in Polar Silver or Viola Metallic. The remaining 12 cars were built by Special Needs and did not have the numbered plaque and were finished in other colours. There is a rumour of one RHD Celebration in Guards Red.
Hope that helps.
